Artist Bio
Sydney Ruth McGraw is an emerging artist in the Plein Air art world. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting, Sculpture, & Art History. She has also studied at the Burren College of Art in Ireland, and the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago. McGraw has taught high school art and private lessons for the last 6 years. A signature member of the Baton Rouge Plein Air group, she loves joining them for events as often as possible. She is currently taking the year off from teaching to serve with Americorps and manage the LSU Student Food Pantry on campus.
McGraw has won painting awards from the Louisiana Art Guild (2018) and the River Road Exhibition(2019) in Baton Rouge, LA. She has curated many group shows and community art events over the years and is very passionate about working with the public to expand art appreciation. Her work is included in many private collections throughout the gulf states. She is currently applying to graduate school and plans to start her Masters in Painting this fall. This will be her 3rd year participating in the Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Air event, and she looks forward to another wonderful experience.

This painting can be shipped for an additional fee of $18, which includes insurance up to the purchase price of the work. The final price will include Louisiana State Tax charge of 4.45%, which must be charged even on original works of art.
