Item Description: One day of Surf Camp – Certificate entitles bearer to one day of
Learn to Surf LA Surf Camp during the upcoming 2021 spring and summer season ($15 seasonal registration fee is included). No additional purchase necessary. If coming for the first time, participant is encouraged to come on a Monday for basics training. Camp dates are online at www.LearnToSurfLA.com/Surf-Camp.

Our Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica/Venice Surf Camps are a great way for kids to spend the day playing and relaxing while learning how to handle themselves competently in the surf. We are professional instructors who pride ourselves on teaching a top notch technique that will have your child going down the line by the end of the week!

Safety is our top priority; all instructors are CPR & First Aid certified and our maximum student to instructor ratio is 5:1 in the water. We provide safe foam surfboards, bodyboards and full length wetsuits. We also provide snacks, drinking
water, sun block and canopies. Students learn about wave dynamics, ocean safety, currents, side shore currents, paddling out, popping up on a surf board, board handling, turning, wave selection, positioning and maneuvering, surfing etiquette, and more. Other camp activities include beach volleyball, beach soccer, Nerf touch-football, Nerf dodgeball, Frisbee, body-surfing, swimming, paddling and sand sculpture. We also provide break times to dry off, re-hydrate and relax or play.

Surf Camp LA is for kids ages 5 to 12 and teens aged 13 to 17. Surf camp is held every year during Spring and Summer Breaks. 

Limitations: Only valid for new families whose children have never
participated in Learn to Surf LA’s lessons and camps.
Certificates have no cash value, and are only valid for the services
outlined, only in the year indicated on the certificate. If
participant has not surfed before, it’s recommended they come
on a Monday for basic training.

Item Special Note

All orders are subject to a $.50 shipping and handling fee. This fee will be automatically added to your total purchase when the auction closes. Gift certificates will be sent via USPS or e-mailed if applicable. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email auction@friendsofwalgrove.com by April 5, 2021 and we will do so at your expense. If you would like to pick up an item, please contact us by April 5th, otherwise we will ship your item.

Larger items can be picked up in Los Angeles, CA or shipped at the winning bidder's expense via USPS Priority Mail. $6 for large envelopes, $13 for medium boxes, $18 for large boxes. Some items do not fit into these categories and you will be notified. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. We will insure packages when shipping; however, Friends of Walgrove is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
