Item Description
"Kalpana's Herd" is an original 8x10" watercolor painting, created by Sarah Pickard. The painting has been matted to 9x12" and is inspired by an original photo shared by WSOS.
Kalpana is celebrating one year with Wildlife SOS. Kalpana had grown weak and could no longer work, so her owner abandoned her and she was found tied to a tree. Kalpana had absolutely no vision in one eye, her toenails were overgrown, and she was covered in abscesses.
Kalpana is on the road to recovery helped along by her introduction to Holly, Karma, and Zara her beloved herd. Companionship plays an important role in healing and it is a delightful sight to watch these four spend time together munching on green fodder or relaxing in the river.
We love that Sarah captured Kalpana and her herd!!
