We primarily target blue fin tuna, but, we will also try for striped bass, bluefish, shark, haddock, halibut and cod (as allowed per state and federal restrictions).
The Cross Check is a 34-foot Pursuit with twin diesel power. She has state of the art electronics and all the required US Coast Guard safety gear is inspected and certified each year. We have full restroom facilities on board.
What is provided?
All fishing tackle, bait, fuel, ice, waters, and a light breakfast.
When do we go?
The boat leaves the dock at Spring Point Marina in South Portland, Maine at 6am and returns around 4pm (10 hours).
What to bring
Bring your lunch, a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, sun block and camera.
Todd Colpitts holds a 100 Gross Ton Master Mariner Credential from the US Coast Guard, is a Registered Maine Guide and is trained in first aid and CPR.

FISHING DATES ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT AND USUALLY ARE SCHEDULED BETWEEN JULY 15 AND AUGUST 30. BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE FLEXIBLE IN THEIR SCHEDULES AS WE NEED TO GO WHEN THE TUNA FISH SHOW UP.
NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES
A 4% handling fee will be automatically added to the winning bid to help cover costs associated with running the auction so more of your donation goes to funding the programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.
If you have ONLY purchased Gift Certificates, they will be mailed to the address on file with Bidding for Good on Friday, March 19, 2021 - please make sure your address on file is correct.
