Item Description
Creation Process: The 4th graders kept it simple during pandemic art class by painting their names, yet in patterns as unique as each individual student. For their solo project, the kids painted 8in squares of their names in acrylic paint onto bristol board. Students were encouraged to divide their paper square into as many shapes as letters in their first name. Then, they discovered a way to draw the letters of their name into the shapes. Some students even chose to use a ruler to keep the sides straight. Finally, students were challenged to continue dividing their paper square into more shapes, ultimately painting each shape in with colors they mixed using acrylic paint.
Additional details: framed, approximately 11in x 11in.
