Rihaan is 12 years old and studies at the Lucent Children Academy in Rajasthan. He loves playing Kho-Kho in his past-time and that, too for hours at a stretch, seldom taking a break! His favourite subjects are English and Mathematics and he can be seen helping his classmates with Mathematics’ problems as well. Rihaan and his family run a small grocery store and each evening, Rihaan can be seen giving his parents’ company at the store as he keenly sits and completes his homework. When Rihaan grows up, he wants to be a police officer, and by extending your support, you will enable him to reach a step closer to his dreams.
The past year has been tough on Rihaan and his family due to the pandemic but the Kalandar community has received livelihood support during the pandemic. The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community. Your support to Rihaan will help her inch closer to her dreams and make a difference!
