Resting at the foot of Mount Meru, the sprawling city of Arusha is known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. It serves as an excellent base from which to explore the remarkably scenic surrounding area which includes majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks.

Day 2 -  Tarangire National Park
Head to Tarangire National Park, a few hours out into the bush in Masai country. After the Serengeti, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania and in the dry season the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather and, not surprisingly, the predators follow. This is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk are regularly spotted. Overnight: Maramboi Te
nted Lodge - permanent camp facilities with endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake.

Day 3 - Central Serengeti
Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley, known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities and picture-perfect. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more.

From Tarangire National Park, you will travel to the legendary Serengeti National Park, a 4-5-hour drive on the Rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. More than 6 million hooves pound the legendary plains of the Serengeti. Every year, triggered by the rains, more than a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles gather to undertake the long trek to new grazing lands. Tanzania's first and most famous park, the Serengeti is renowned for its wealth of leopard and lion.

Overnight: Kati Kati Mobile Camp Serengeti Kati
The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience.

Day 4
Full day of game drives in the Serengeti from sunrise to sunset, exploring hippos’ pools, looking for lions, and discovering animals around every corner. Overnight: Kati Kati Mobile Camp

Day 5 - Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site, is often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, and its position on the Eastern rim allows the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater
Rising early, you will experience what has been called “one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.” The Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area boasts the largest unbroken, inactive, and unflooded caldera in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls, this natural amphitheater covers an area of about 100 square miles and is home to up to 25,000 larger mammals. Nearly half of those are zebra and wildebeest while other species are buffalo, gazelle, eland, hartebeest, warthog, and the elusive black rhino. Lion, hyena, cheetah, and leopard are among the predators within the crater.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 7 - Ngorongoro Area and Departure
After a last view over the magnificent crater, begin your journey back.
