About Allan: Executive Director of the Thornburg Foundation, Allan oversees the foundation's strategic initiatives early childhood education, good government, food and agriculture, and water. Allan is an avid hiker/trekker/climber and has traveled to Torres del Paine, Tierra del Fuego, Khan Tengri, Everest base camp, Denali and Mt. Rainier National parks, and South Truchas. He served as an ecotourism specialist and environmental educator for Volcano Ipala National Park in Peace Corps/Guatemala. And if prompted, he could share stories about hunting with eagles, scorpions in his backpack, presidential helicopters in Kyrgzstan, a high altitude rescue at Everest or his 2019 climb of Denali. Allan is father to Max, Centaur at Arts & Sciences.

About Todd: Prior to being our intrepid leader, Todd was the 3rd & 4th grade Centaur teacher for over a decade. He holds over 20 years of teaching experience both in the classroom and in outdoor experiential settings. He has led wilderness and outdoor education courses at the Santa Fe Mountain Center and in other wilderness education settings. Todd has led many of our backpacking and hiking summer camps around New Mexico and loves to share how much fun you can have both on and off the trail!
