Artist Bio: 

Reine Krief is president and designer of BijouRocks, unique collections of vintage and handcrafted jewelry, and is co-founder of Krief Design Studio, a footwear and accessories design company located in Solana Beach, California.  Reine was raised in Montreal, Canada where her creative interests began at a young age working at  her father's fashion import company. She studied fashion  "What I really like, is to feel the weight of a finished piece in my hand. There is something authentic about it.  Making, creating, designing, it all makes me happy. I'd like to  share that with the world." 

After the big move, she took time to get settled focusing on her family and helping her husband and partner with footwear design projects. Together they created Krief Design  Studio. Offering research and design services, traveling to factories in Europe and Asia,  attending trade shows and shopping the trends. Hunting for unique items and antiques,  along the way, Reine accumulated collections of vintage jewelry and interesting components for which she had a fascination. As a result, she designed and taught herself to make jewelry specializing in hand-knotting, gifting them to her friends and family.  Encouraged by the positive response she received, and a little nudge from her husband, in  2016 she launched her first website www.bijourocks.com and soon after opened a small shop that established a loyal local clientele. 

Bijourocks maintains a strong presence on social media, acquiring loyal customers, in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The buzz expanded and continues with requests, features, and editorials by local and national press organizations, bloggers, as well as appearances on local television shows. More recently, she joined forces with her husband and partner, Michael Krief, and together they opened a beautiful shop and showroom combining BijouRocks and Krief Design Studio in Solana Beach, California.

Reine participates and is committed to helping non-profit organizations like St.Jude's,  Adopt-a-Family Foundation, One Tree Planted, and Wildlife SOS. Her other passions include cooking and hosting events. She secretly hopes she will share her favorite recipes in a cookbook she will one day write.
