Item Description

A platter of 20 6" subs. Assorted turkey, roast beef, ham and vegetarian.

The Kountry Kart Deli story began in 1989 on Church Street Burlington, Vermont during the coldest winter on record. Founder Mike Williams, manned a small food cart selling 30-40 sandwiches a day, in temperatures so bitter that the vegetables on his cart froze.  And, he could barely keep his home-made soups hot enough to pass as warm!

Although the hours were long and brutal, and profit margins narrow, Williams never gave up. After a few years, he hooked up with the Willard St Market and sold his deli products from their meat counter—out of the cold and off the streets.

By 1992, Williams’ sandwiches became so popular—especially his falafel—that he needed more food preparation space. The operation moved to 155 Main Street, next door to the Flynn Theater.  Today, the deli serves over 600 salads, soups and sandwiches per day with a 100% quality assurance on every purchase. Plus, the innovative and extensive Vermont fresh menu has been recognized by some of New England’s most discriminating food writers.

Whether you want breakfast (served all day), a fast healthy lunch, or the best late night food in Burlington, the friendly folks at Kountry Kart Deli are ready to serve you 20 hours per day 363 days per year.
