Item Description
Acrylic and mixed media, 10 x 10 inches
Artist: Ernest Beutel WI
"Looking Up" is the title that gives one hope, as in, "things are looking up."
Art is a balancing act that compels me to create mixed-media paintings. They are abstract, yet representational. They have a somewhat urban flair, with a country influence. The lines float like gossamer strings yet jam down hard like a bass-playing elephant. I use spray paint, acrylic paint, marker and crayons to develop my ongoing journey toward jagged creatures, painted pixels, and whimsical curves. There is no right or wrong in art, just different interpretations. I am thrilled to continue my artistic voyage.
Artist Bio: Ernest Beutel's paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the Midwest, including the Francis Hardy Center for the Arts in Ephraim, The Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, The Cedarburg Cultural Center, and the Wilmette Arts Guild.
