Item Description
Sail with Rocking the Boat Founder, Executive Director and MCS alumnus Adam Green '87 at the mouth of the Bronx River on a traditional wooden boat, hand built by the high school students of Rocking the Boat.
Rocking the Boat Founder and Executive Director Adam Green will introduce you to one of the most beautiful and undiscovered natural areas in one of the most unique ways you can imagine. The sail will last for about two hours and can accommodate up to four people (one person in the party needs to be 18+). Sailing will take place on the Bronx River in Hunts Point which has come a long way in the last decade!
Rocking the Boat empowers young people from the South Bronx to develop the self-confidence to set ambitious goals and gain the skills necessary to achieve them. Students work together to build wooden boats, learn to row and sail, and restore local urban waterways, revitalizing their community while creating better lives for themselves.
"Kids don't just build boats at Rocking the Boat, boats build kids."
