Item Description
2004 Westside Road Neighbors Pinot - An assorted and seductive wine that brings together the true art of blending, Neighbors is our most complex blend of this vintage. Dark and rich in color, the bouquet of blackberries, cobbler, plums, fennel, clove, butterscotch and toasty oak immediately fill your glass. The palate is layered with flavors of blackberry, cassis, cherry cola, sarsaparilla, crème brûlée, mineral and concentrated grape tannins.
2004 Weir Vineyard Pinot - Aromas of ripe Bing cherries, sweet herbs, rose water, earth and minerals dominate the bouquet entirely in this vintage. The concentrated flavors of wild berries, cola, minerals and spice are complemented by the rich grape tannin and linger in the finish. As this vineyard matures it is finally showing the true expression of its unique terroir.
2004 Bucher Vineyard Pinot - Aromas of ripe cherries, roses, cola and mocha are expressed in the nose. Concentrated flavors of Maraschino cherries, strawberry, cola, Asian spices and forest floor are complemented by the sweet and creamy grape and oak tannin in the finish. The thin hillside soils from this ranch have added an immense amount of depth and complexity to this wine.
2008 Russian River Valley Pinot - Primarily from our Drake Estate Vineyard (Pommard & Clone 115) planted in 1998, with a bit from vineyards along Westside Road. The nose is redolent of blackberries, plums, toffee, and crème brûlée. The rich and full tannins accentuate blackberry and dark plummy fruit flavors, and complement the creamy, silky finish. The concentrated dark fruits and spicy flavors truly express the classic depth, complexity, and finesse that you would expect from our Russian River Valley pinot noir
2009 Olivet Lane Vineyard Pinot - Like any long time friend we all tend to show some age. In this case, this “friend” has developed into a much more complex wine than I ever remember! Perfumed maraschino cherries, strawberry jam, dried spices and cola present a matured sexiness now to this wine. Intense cherry/ wild raspberry flavors end up surrounded by silky tannins and toasty oak. Many of you barrel tasted the 2010 vintage at our Spring Release Pick Up Party and this wine is almost a mirror image—that I believe will age more gracefully.
