Experience the serene splendor of Maine with a visit to this waterfront home near Boothbay Harbor. The lucky winner of this item will spend a long weekend (3-night getaway) in a private home with acres of beautiful scenery and unobstructed views of the Cross River. The house is 15 minutes north of Boothbay Harbor, which has a charming walkable downtown with many shops, restaurants, and boat tours.

The home overlooks a tidal river with a dock and three kayaks (2 singles, 1 triple) for your use.  It is actually a combination of two houses – a 1950’s vintage Cape (upper and lower bedrooms and den) with a recent addition (great room, kitchen, dining room, decks).  It is perfect for a friends’ weekend or two families together.

The living area features a two-story great room with panoramic views of the river.  Open style kitchen connects great room and dining room. Big back deck overlooks the river and is great for morning yoga. Screened porch avoids sun and mosquitoes. A huge barn includes a ping pong table upstairs and plenty of room for celebrating. An outside hot tub is available for your use.

The house has four bedrooms: 1 King master suite, 2 Queens, 1 room with a futon and twin.  An additional option is a very comfortable Queen pull-out couch in the den. 

You may never want to leave the house. You can kayak, read a book in the hammock, play bocce and croquet, fish off the dock, go clamming in the “flats” at low tide, roast marshmallows in the fire pit, gaze at the stars from the hot tub, or just sit on the deck and watch the tide change. You can swim but the water is COLD. 

The location is in Edgecomb, 15 minutes from Boothbay Harbor and about 2.5 hours from Acton, MA without traffic.  The house is 20 minutes from the maritime museum in Bath, 35 minutes from iconic Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, 45 minutes from the beautiful beach at Reid State Park, and 50 minutes from Camden where you can hike up Mt. Megunticook.

3-Night Getaway - preference by owner to stay Friday/Sat/Sun, but note that alternative nights can be worked out with owner as long as there is availability. Winner must pay a $200 security deposit, which will be refunded as long as the condition of the house on departure is considered appropriate by the owners.

This item is available for a maximum of 8 people.  No pets, please. No smoking.
