This auction item includes two experiences in one. The winner will get an exclusive croquet party for four people with Wayne and Lana Wood on the lawn of their historic home in Riverside. Their socially-distanced yard parties are legendary and are highlighted by the Woods' unique brand of fun and social interaction featuring an old-fashioned croquet set.
The winner also will receive a tour of Wayne and Lana's renowned Yard Art collection. Wayne and Lana are artists as well as art collectors, and they believe that art should not always be hidden inside one's home. They are advocates of "Yard Art" and have over 100 artistic masterpieces on display all around the lawn and gardens. Included are dozens of architectural ornamental artifacts that Wayne has salvaged over the years from historic buildings, as well as works of sculpture from many local artists. Of special interest are "The Giant Chicken," “The Hedge of Heads,” the “Flower Kaleidoscope,” the “Louis Sullivan Skyscraper Wall,” and “The Wonder Wall,” a phantasmagorical 18-foot mosaic.
