Item Description

Coffee lovers will want this gorgeous Gourmet Coffee Basket from Mirna's & Co. The basket includes 20 bags of ground coffee, a mug, and wall sign.

About Mirna's & Co., from owner Mirna Gonzalez '12, St. Andrew's alum
Mirna’s & Co. imports our coffee directly from the source – a family-run coffee farmer in Fraijanes, Guatemala; a few hours drive from where I grew up. The Fraijanes region is part of the ‘Coffee Belt,' an area of the globe known to be particularly well-suited for growing coffee. Countries located within the Coffee Belt can typically be characterized as having rich soil, mild temperatures, and abundant rainfall.

Our coffee is grown around 4,500 ft above sea level, meaning it is “Strictly High Grown” (SHG) or “Strictly Hard Bean” (SHB). This results in a higher concentration of nutrients and distinct flavors due to slower bean development. The nearby Pacaya Volcano produces highly-fertile, volcanic soil. When combined with the tropical climate, our farmers produce a more nutrient-rich, flavorful and pleasant coffee experience unique to the region.

Our coffee consists of only high quality beans, is ethically sourced, and is competitively priced. While there is plenty to be said about this delicious coffee, we recommend letting our coffee do the speaking for us.
