Item Description

Artwork Title: You Are What You Eat
Artist: Brian Murphy

All information was provided by the artist in their own words.

Materials: "Hyper Striper" artwork is about 3 ft. wide x 1 ft. tall and made of .5 in. Versatex (PVC). Found object, vintage food crates, vintage metal cans, steel set screws, misc. hardware.

Description: My striper is a nod to discarded material left everywhere. Dumpster diving is an art and I take these unwanted materials and upcycle them into something new. The bright green color is called Margherita so I guess you can wash it all down.

By night and weekends becomes an art ninja named Moiph, creating in various medias and subjects. Enjoys splinters and cut fingers, as well as oil paints on pants. Work is in private collections across the United States, Canada and Europe. Resident of Beverly for over 30 years has been involved in many organizations in town including Beverly Rotary, St Vincent dePaul Society and Fischer Fuel and Charitable. Serves on many boards in town as well. Married to Brenda, his muse and two grown children Kara and Zack.
