Item Description
Artwork Title: Sweet Caroline
Artist: Judi Jorge
All information was provided by the artist in their own words.
Materials: "Hyper Striper" artwork is about 3 ft. wide x 1 ft. tall and made of .5 in. Versatex (PVC). Acrylic paints.
Description: Good times never felt so good as they do this year, getting back to in-person ball games! Using acrylics in an illustrative style, I used color, movement, and details to tell the story of a day at Fenway Park ~ the Green Monster packed with fans, the roar of the crowd, the smell of the popcorn, all the experiences of a great day at the old ball game.
About the Artist: Judi Jorge is a life-long, primarily self taught artist who studied at Montserrat Colleges program of continuing education, The Museum School, and with various local artists. Her style is realistic, and she works in acrylic and graphite.
For her, art is the act of capturing light, perspective, and value in a way that evokes memories and feeling. Her early influence by Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish and Grandma Moses are evident in her illustrative style.
She lives and works in Beverly and is crazy about guinea pigs, Patriots football, and all things Hobbit.
