Item Description

Artwork Title: Lola
Artist: Sara Santarsiero

All information was provided by the artist in their own words.

Materials: "Hyper Striper" artwork is about 3 ft. wide x 1 ft. tall and made of .5 in. Versatex (PVC). Acrylic paint.

Description: Through aggressive mark-making and thoughtful color placement, I layer and build up entire surfaces. I can never define what everything means to me. It's more just this compulsive creating - but moving slowly and softly. I carry this practice with me in every work, including here with Lola.

About the Artist: Sara Santarsiero is a practicing contemporary / non-objective artist who currently resides on the North Shore. After receiving her BFA from Montserrat College of Art in 2010 she has since participated in numerous artist exhibitions and shows.
