Item Description

Description: My Hyper Striper, entitled Imagine, was inspired by the absence of art our society experienced throughout the pandemic. I thought about artists of all kinds and medias around the world and how most of them spent the last year unable to participate in their passions. With the world growing and changing through the pandemic, I think we've all felt the art community growing stronger. The vibrant colors, images, and symbols of music, dance, art, happiness, and love placed throughout my Hyper Striper represents the explosion of creativity that will come, and has already begun, when every person can return to whatever their normal is. I know how excited I am to experience this new renaissance of art that is on our horizon, and I wanted to encapsulate that hope in this piece. IMAGINE what we can all do with art together!

About the Artist: Tobey is an acclaimed AP Art Student and President of the Senior Class at Beverly High School. He has a passion for art of all kinds, taking part in theatre, playing music, and hanging out with friends. Next year, he will be attending college at FIT in New York City.
