CREATE at Arizona Science Center ® is a place where science, design, and engineering collide! Inspired by the productivity of an inventor’s workshop, the creativity of an art studio, the experimentation of a lab, and the connectivity of a commons, CREATE is a 6,500 square-foot community hub for turning dreams into reality.

At CREATE, people of all ages can share ideas, collaborate on projects and learn about science, technology, engineering, math and art through making. By using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled equipment and traditional crafting tools, visitors will have the chance to cut, saw, code, hammer, sew, paint, solder, and much more!

CREATE Challenges are hands-on activities developed to inspire and educate through making. Materials and tools are provided so visitors can immediately take part in the design, construction and testing of their creations.

In three Resource Centers, guests (ages 13+) can gain experience with a variety of creative skills and cutting-edge tools. Take workshops on everything from 3D printing and laser cutting to woodworking and the arts. Become a Resource Center Pass Holder and use our machines to work on your individual projects!

In the Connect Commons, we invite artists, scientists, students, educators, and makers to work together to cultivate their ideas, develop projects, and learn about new technologies that will support the development of their work.

The collaboration space will feature:

  • Extended tables for group collaboration
  • Butcher paper rolls, so visitors can grab a sheet and start sketching out their ideas
  • Power stations located in the tables so visitors can work on design projects

Experience making up close as local artists, engineers and makers create unique works in real-time on our Demo Stage. Gain insight into their creative processes through Q&A sessions and informal conversations.
