Item Description
This ca. 1740 copper engraving by Jean François Daumont shows a bird's eye view of Seville, Spain, with Triana and some figures in the foreground. A key at the bottom identifies 37 important places within the view. Jean François Daumont (fl. 1740-1775) was one of the most prolific creators of vues d'optique in 18th century Paris.
This piece is professionally framed. Engraving is ca. 20 x 13.5 inches; frame size is 26 x 19 inches. Condition is generally good, though there is a bit of marginal damage, including some ink blotches.
