Item Description
Print of François Couperin in a gold frame. This impression was made by the Chalcographie du Louvre in the mid-twentieth century from the original copperplate of 1735, which is in the possession of the Musée du Louvre. (The Louvre no longer offers prints of this portrait.)
François Couperin (1668-1733) was a French organist and composer; this portrait is an etching by Jean-Charles Flipart (1682-1751), modeled on a painting by André Boüys.
Print is 14" tall x 10" wide; framed dimesions are 22" x 18".
