Item Description
Daniel Coffield is a full time artist and educator teaching at The Akron School for the Arts at Firestone High School.
He currently holds two Bachelors of Fine Art degrees from The University of Akron Myers School of Art as well as a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with Visual Arts Licensure K-12.
His art is in private and public collections both nationally and internationally. His award winning multi-media art has been exhibited across the country and in local prestigious venues such as The Akron Art Museum, The Akron Civic Theater, E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, Spaces, The Morgan Paper Conservatory, Summit Art Space, and The National Inventors Hall of Fame S.T.E.M. School.
Over the last nine years his students have been consistently recognized as outstanding young visual artists. As an award winning educator, his students have accumulated hundreds of Scholastics Art and Writing Awards and had award winning works recognized and exhibited at the local, state, and national levels. Their work has been awarded multiple national and gold and silver medals, national portfolio medals, and received multiple national American Vision Awards as well as over a half a million dollars in grants, awards, and scholarships.
