Item Description
Inviting ALL GIRLS in grades 4 and 5 for adventures in practicing bike skills and building connections. Venture off the path for a guided, skill building bike adventure. Explore scenic views, feel the wind on your face. All inclusive bike trips offered. Bikes, helmets, first aid supplies and mountain bike guides provided by Trips for Kids. Youth at least 4 ft 6 inches tall and willing to use a fleet bike with hand brakes may borrow an agency bike or may bring their own. Beginner bike riders as well as those with more intermediate/advanced skills are welcome. All participants must be able to ride a bike comfortably. Single ride route is planned from Berkeley Marina to Albany waterfront.

MEET UP: Caesar Chavez Park also known as the ""Kite Park"" at the Berkeley Marina 11 Spinnaker Way, North of the west end of University Avenue. YOUTH BRING: mask, water bottle, lunch, lightweight backpack to carry lunch Rides will be led by TFK staff who are bike enthusiasts trained in CPR, first aid, bike repair and a SPES parent experienced in youth development! Permission and COVID waiver required. Each date has room for limited numbers of youth based on present COVID guidelines
Good times & good company provided. Plus snacks and lots of hand sanitizer.
Bring your own bike or borrow a sanitized fleet bike (available for riders of 4’6” and taller).
GROUP ITINERARY
9:30-9:45am drop off, collect ride release and COVID waiver, temperature check
10am group assembles with Ride leader for welcome, community agreements and safety guidelines
1230ish lunch break
2:00-2:20pm end of ride debrief & sharing circle
2:30pm transition/ afternoon snack
2:45-3pm pick up window
