Item Description
Inviting student families to get to know Picante, 2nd grade's beloved class corn snake. Offer to care for Picante for a month -- and practice the responsibility of being a caretaker for a snake friend. Learn up close basic needs, diet and habitat. Plus gain practice handling and feeding. As a bonus student families will receive a list of recommended just right books for any reading level.

Item Special Note
Needs to consider:
Space for a terrarium about 3 feet by 18 inches.
•Picante eats a live adult mouse every 7 to 10 days and can go 2 weeks without eating if necessary.
•Picante seems to like being handled.
•He eats in a separate feeding container.
•There shouldn't be any additional terrarium cleaning needed. Just picking up the poop about once a week.
•There's a heating lamp that helps keep the terrarium at about 79 degrees.
