Join professional whiskey aficionado Devin Vilardi for an immersive virtual Whisk(e)y tasting in which he shares with you his knowledge of and passion for "The Water of Life".
"The world has been undergoing a "Whisk(e)y Renaissance", with a new generation of whiskey drinkers fueling a demand that far outstrips the supply, accompanied by the exponential growth of craft whiskey producers from Kentucky all the way to Taiwan. Bourbon is booming, Scotch whiskies are selling in the 7-figure range at auctions, and the category keeps expanding as new global regions, styles, and brands emerge. Enthusiasts are building their private collections, businesses are hosting whiskey tastings for clients and as team-building events, and veritable libraries of Whiskey are emerging at our favorite bars and restaurants... But what does it all mean, if you can't appreciate the multitude of subtle differences? Where can you go to learn everything you need to know to navigate this new and exciting world?
You will be guided on an interactive trip around the world of the major whisk(e)y-producing nations, with stops in Kentucky, Scotland, and Japan. You'll taste four different styles of whisk(e)y (bourbon, rye, single malt Scotch, and japanese whisky), accompanied by an explanation of the different styles, instructions on how to best appreciate it, and tips and tricks for deciphering the label. A tasting with Devin will help you to understand the intricacies of your own personal palate, and set you on your way to your own personal whisk(e)y journey.
