BRYON:

Bryon received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Olaf College and Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas.

He completed an internship at the University of Kansas’ Counseling Laboratory for the Exploration of Optimal States where he researched and counseled highly creative and gifted high school students, and his practicum at Baker University where he counseled college students on a variety of issues.

Bryon's Therapeutic Approach: he approaches therapy through a person-centered lens, informed by Humanistic and Psychodynamic theories and utilizing techniques from an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

He appreciates that every client is unique and special, and works very hard to create a warm, supportive environment in which strengths are uncovered and clients are challenged and encouraged to grow.

JEREMY:

He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. During his Practicum and Internship, he worked at a non-profit called Positive Impact Health Centers in Decatur, GA and worked with clients struggling with a wide array of issues not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, and gender and sexuality issues.

Jeremy's Therapeutic Approach: his approach is warm and empathetic, down to earth, and not pretentious. Your trust is to be earned, which is why he listens closely and relates to you authentically and non-judgmentally. He can explore with you the more difficult areas of your life, make sense out of what’s happening, and find ways you can heal and find real relief.
The heart of his work is done from a Person-Centered perspective which is evidence-based and emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. He studied other models proven to help people with the depression and anxiety such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness based approaches, as well as Psychodynamic techniques that work on deeper patterns so that the root of the problem can be revealed.
