Item Description
With many harvests under her belt and her passion for winemaking still strong, Carol Shelton has become an iconic winemaker.
Carol Shelton has won Winemaker of the Year five times, has countless gold medals for her wines and was named one of eight Pioneer Women Winemakers of Sonoma County in 2005. She continues to win awards and accolades – her 2011 Wild Thing Zinfandel was included in the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2014.
The wine has aromas of black cherry, plum and raspberry fruit combine with a beautiful hint of vanilla-oak loveliness, smoothly textured in mouth, very creamy and round, the finish is long and has lush jammy fruit — this wine is dangerously good.
Blend: 77% Zinfandel, 9% Carignane, 8% Primitivo, 2% Alicante Bouschet, 2% Syrah, 1% Barbera, 1% Petite Sirah
Wine Spectator
Vibrant and zesty, offering smoky cherry aromas and elegantly complex briary raspberry, underbrush and cracked pepper flavors.
