Item Description
Winemaker Dan Barwick creates handcrafted, food-friendly Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Additionally he crafts small lots of vineyard-designated wines, sparkling wines, and proprietary blends from the estate Russian River Valley vineyards and vines in the Rockpile viticultural area. After 21 harvests, Dan works to create wines that delight the palate and illustrate the diversity of the vineyards and vintage.
The fertile, rocky well-drained soil and sunny hillside exposure of the estate Vineyards help create the distinctive wines that carry the Paradise Ridge label. The vineyards adjoin the lands of the historic Fountaingrove Winery, which at the turn of the last century won international acclaim for its wines.
2016 Sauvignon Blanc
2014 Chardonnay
2014 Elevation Cabernet
From a wonderful vintage, this Cabernet Sauvignon, with dashes of Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot delivers as one would expect, making those heartier and more comforting dishes we all love seemingly sing and require an encore.
2015 Pinot Noir
This is coveted Pinot Noir from the Estate, which was planted to the French clones Dijon 777 and Pommard. The Pommard clone accentuates more of a fruity character here, whereas the 777 brings more of those spicy notes and tones to the finished wine.
The wine has an abundance of red fruit, with raspberry and red current playing the biggest rolls, and some blueberry/ blackberry notes wafting in from time to time. The gentle barrel influence is all French, which helps uplift these fruit characters, and adds layers to that special Pinot Noir texture.
Only 350 cases made.
