This limited production wine is a blend of select lots of Oakville's finest Cabernet Sauvignon and blending varieties, contributed by winery members of the Oakville Winegrowers. The Cuvée offers the collector an extraordinary opportunity to experience the best of Napa Valley's premier growing region. There is no other wine that equally represents the spirit of an appellation and the camaraderie of its vintners.
The 2017 blend was created by winemaker Russell Bevan, who has earned more than 15 perfect scores of 100 points for his wines so far.
Winemaker's Notes: The 2017 Cuvée shows an intensity of color in the glass, deep violet and purple, owing to the beautiful extraction and depth of this vintage. On the nose you'll find bright red fruit reminiscent of ripe boysenberry, red cherries and pretty floral notes. The palate starts bright and juicy with a high natural acidity, leading to an elegant red-berry mid-palate, well-defined structure and great vibrancy. The tannins are prominent, and the finish is long-lasting and luscious. This is a great food wine that will mellow with age.
Highly collectable, each bottle is etched and numbered, a beautiful and rare addition to any wine cellar. Only 50 of these Double Magnums were produced.
