Item Description
Rhinebeck Equine is an exclusively equine practice located in Dutchess County about 120 miles north of NYC, in the Hudson River Valley. The practice was founded in the 1940’s by Dr. Kenneth Gumaer, and began its equine focus in 1967, when Dr. Ronnie Miller was joined by Dr. Paul Mountan. Renamed Rhinebeck Equine in 1996, the practice’s veterinarians have been providing quality care to the equine population of New York’s Hudson Valley for nearly 75 years. This experienced and trusted practice has progressively grown into a comprehensive medical and surgical center serving the needs of horses throughout the Northeast.
This $170 Gift Certificate is for an initial exam and acupuncture treatment with Dr. Cara Rosenbaum.
A Westchester, NY native, Dr. Rosenbaum graduated from Brown University with a degree in psychology. She then spent a year working for a sports medicine veterinary practice where her passion for the general well being of the horse and show horses specifically, flourished. In 2017, Dr. Rosenbaum graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship at Fairfield Equine (CT) where she honed her skills in diagnostics and treatment of the equine athlete as well as emergency care. A certified FEI-treating vet with a focus on sports medicine, Dr. Rosenbaum has spent the last four years working with a diverse population of athletes and companion horses outside of Chicago and on the Florida show circuit. She recently completed the Chi University acupuncture course which allows her to treat her patients, be they international competitors or geriatric companions, with a multi-modal approach. Since 2017, Dr. Rosenbaum has volunteered her time to assist with the care of a herd of wild Chincoteague ponies in association with Eastern Shore Animal Hospital and the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department.
