Item Description
M. Chapoutier 2018 La Ciboise White (Luberon)
A blend of 30% each of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Vermentino, with the balance Clairette, the 2018 Luberon La Ciboise Blanc is still resting on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. Ripe pineapple, peach, and melon notes all emerge from this layered, ripe, nicely textured white that has good acidity, plenty of fat and opulence, and a good finish.
Chateau Haut Beausejour 2016
Tobacco and cold cinders on the nose. Long, rich palate with notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant.A generous and round-textured red here. Full to medium body. Juicy and fruity. Pretty young wine — the best from here in a long time.
Domaine de la Denante Bourgogne Pinot Noir (year?)
Domaine de la Denante is a small, 12 hectare estate located in Davayé, one of the famed ‘Villages’ of the Mâcon. Davayé shares the same ‘terroir’ as Saint-Véran, which encompasses Mâcon-Davayé, and Pouilly-Fuissé, which surrounds Davayé to the south and west. The soils are calcareous limestone overlaid with fine, silty, sandy loam – ideal for the cultivation of Burgundian varietials. The wine is soft and creamy. Made from fruit grown in the Mâcon region, it is ripe and with a good balance between citrus and melon flavors. The acidity and the attractive fruitiness have produced a wine that is ready to drink.
