This hand-poured set of 10 solid bronze Asian weights on a teakwood stand was made to the donor's order in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, in early 1985. The smallest of the weights (all of which are shaped like modern Asian elephants) is just one ounce, whereas the largest weighs one kilogram (2 lbs., 5 ounces), with each of the others progressively heavier or lighter.
