Item Description
25.5"W, 17"H. This piece, titled "Celebrating Norway's Textile Heritage," was woven by the donor. The donor writes, "This weaving depicts sheep of wool from my flock, a loom, spindle, and dancing girl motif often seen in knitting designs. The red, white, and blue wool yarn was imported from Norway. The warp is linen. The designs were woven with single interlock tapestry techniques. This weaving received a third place white ribbon in the 2018 Sons of Norway International Folk Art Exhibition." Artist: Nancy Ellison, Vesterheim Ribbon Winner.
