Wonderwell Mountain Refuge is the meditation retreat and practice center for Natural Dharma Fellowship, an organization of Buddhist practitioners dedicated to bringing the practices of Tibetan Buddhism into the contemporary world in accessible, relevant, and creative ways. Nestled in the green hills of Springfield, New Hampshire, with sweeping views of forest, sky and mountains, the beautifully restored house and grounds provide a calm and peaceful oasis.

This offering is for a solitary, two-night retreat in our beautiful Vajra Suite. The suite has a private kitchen, bathroom, king bed, separate meditation room, and wonderful views.

Solitary retreat provides an opportunity to explore renunciation from the busyness and speed of daily life while engaging deeply with your meditation practice. Spending time in solo retreat allows for a respite from the distractions of media and technology addiction and helps us to recognize and work with familiar patterns of emotional upheaval and reactivity. Ideally, a solo retreat can greatly support a practitioner's inward journey by allowing a deeper and more insightful relationship to oneself and one's practice of meditation through silence, deep practice, and relaxation.
 
Wonderwell has reopened for hybrid and onsite retreats. We are very happy to be hosting contemplative programs to further the practices of compassion, meditation, and wisdom in daily life. Our mission is enhanced by retreats that explore the realms of contemplative care, social justice, the wisdom of the body, secular ethics, and climate activism. Core teachers are Lama Willa Miller and Lama Liz Monson, with many visiting teachers.

Special Instructions;

Due to the pandemic, some adjustments have been made in order to minimize personal contact and keep everyone (retreatants and staff) as safe as possible. Solo retreatants must stay within their designated retreat area. Masks and vaccination are mandatory. The meditation hall is open for practice as long as there is not a retreat going on at the time you are here. You will need to bring your own food. Please read details here.

Additional nights may be added to the stay at the usual rate of $150/night.

Scheduling will depend on availability and will be arranged between the winning bidder and Wonderwell staff.
