Item Description
Costume designer Bob Mackie was plucked from obscurity in 1961 when legendary Hollywood costume designer Edith Head discovered his talents while working at Paramount Studios. Soon he was designing his own styles for the likes of Mitzi Gaynor, Diana Ross and The Supremes and The Temptations. And who could forget his two most famous dresses, Carol Burnett's "curtain dress" (complete with rod) from the "Went With the Wind" sketch on The Carol Burnett Show and Cher's 1986 Academy Awards black link-chain dress with feathered headdress.
Broadway veteran Frank Vlastnik has compiled the first comprehensive and authorized showcase of the legendary designer in his new book The Art of Bob Mackie. Sit down for a virtual chat with these two lovers of show business. You will also receive an autographed copy of Vlastnik's book and a special autographed "Bob Mackie Barbie." Don't miss this chance to learn from one of the all-time greats.
This package includes:
- A 20-minute virtual meeting with Tony and nine-time Emmy Award winner Bob Mackie and author Frank Vlastnik
- An autographed copy of The Art of Bob Mackie by Frank Vlastnik
- An autographed Bob Mackie Barbie doll
