What I'm Looking For: Hi! I’m Myrtle. And I am ready for you to take me home with you! I am sweet and lovable. So, don't be surprised if I want to lay on the couch next to you. I'm an older lady who but I still like to take long walks. And when you go to a place like Myrtle Beach (named after me of course), at 12 pounds I am easy to take along with you! I also like other doggie siblings but we don't know about cats yet. I am dreaming of living in my forever home and having a nice soft bed to lay on. Won’t you please take me in and make my dream come true? In return, I will love you forever and ever!

What My Foster Says About Me: Myrtle needs slow introductions to strangers and other dogs. She is shy so noisy, crowded places are stressful for her. Once Myrtle is fully warmed up to someone, she's a charming little girl. She likes being outdoors so a home with a yard, patio, or nearby park (not a dog park), would be great for her. Apartment living would not be ideal because of the risk of sudden, unplanned near-encounters with unfamiliar humans and animals.

I let her on the couch, and she's a decent cuddler, especially later in the day when it's closer to the time when we'll go to the park together, although she really likes the foam dog bed I have for her. She seems to like being tucked in at night with a little dog blanket. If I take a nap during the day, she'll usually chill under the bed, but sometimes she'll jump up and push her way under the covers.

Special Considerations: Myrtle cannot go to a home with kids under 12.

Gets Along With: Other dogs. We haven't seen Myrtle with cats yet but she can be tested
