Item Description
Your bid is for two 30-minute private lessons in piano, violin or music composition. Lessons are offered in person or on Zoom and include all materials.
Jamie offers lessons to students at any skill level, beginner to advanced, and lessons are open to adults, teens, and children as young as 4 years old.
We will build note identification skills, play ear training and rhythm games, and develop sight reading abilities while maintaining a supportive and relaxed environment. Music composition students will gain an understanding of chord progressions in our first lesson and begin to build a foundation for songwriting in a purely mathematical sense, intended to be explored in depth as lessons progress.
Package also includes a short video demonstrating practice goals, recorded specifically for your child immediately following each lesson.
Lessons are fun, engaging, and structured in a way which promotes student-led learning within a clearly defined set of parameters, such as monthly and yearly goals. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests in various genres, including musical theatre, pop and pieces from popular films.
Jamie has been teaching for 13 years and is an accomplished musician, having played in prestigious venues around the world. She attended the Baltimore Cchool for the Arts, and studied music education and viola performance at Ithaca College.
In-home lessons are for clients located in Santa Monica, West LA, Century City, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, or the surrounding areas.
