In the past, people had a relationship with their physician; they weren’t just a number on a chart. If they were sick, they saw their physician, not whoever was on call for the group. They saw them that day, not next week at the next available appointment. If you couldn’t make it to the doctor, the doctor came to you. It was personal. It was how the practice of medicine should be, and can be again. This is Hitchcock Family Medicine.
Hitchcock Family Medicine is Chattanooga’s first Direct Primary Care Practice. HFM does not bill insurance, and is not a replacement for insurance. Members are charged a monthly fee of $75 per adult, or $25 per child (with a paying adult.) This includes unlimited, unhurried office visits with no waiting. Patients can even be seen after hours or at home when necessary for urgent matters. Any test or procedure that can be performed in-house, such as EKGs, stitches, UAs, Strep tests, etc. is included at no additional charge. Patients are also offered wholesale cash prices on outside labs, imaging such as x-rays and MRIs, and many medications. Patients enjoy access to their physician 24/7 by phone, text, or email, and knowing that they work together with their doctor as a team to manage their health.
