Item Description
This statue is the creation of Ann Godwin of InspiredSculpture. The successful bidder will receive a four-inch tall "Kuan Yin Blessing the Earth."
Kuan Yin is one of the most loved and approachable Bodhisattvas. She hears the cries of all beings and watches over us with love and compassion. Kuan Yin is uniquely depicted in this sculpture, blessing the earth by sprinkling the dew of compassion and understanding over our planet. She is seated in a boat on the ocean, cradling Earth, showing that we are all on this voyage together. Kuan Yin guides us on our journey through life and has promised to stay with us until we have all reached Nirvana.
Says Ann of InspiredSculpture: "I believe in creating sculptures with deep meaning that inspire personal growth and mark important events in life. My devotional pieces are collected for meditation, gifts for bereavement, spiritual passage, congratulations, coming of age, and positive support in difficult times. Inspired by world travel, the sculptures reflect diverse beliefs and cultures from many countries. Many of the designs in my Etsy shop were originally sculpted by my mother and father of Mission Studios who have shared their talents and helped me develop my skills. All of the sculptures are made by me in my home studio in Oregon. A career (full-time) artist, I have been making and selling my own and my family's sculptures nationally and internationally since I was 7 years old."
