This super Redfish Trip is for four (4) anglers with guides Capt. Scott Stanko of Tailing Red Anglers and Capt. Steven Winkel of All Water Anglers out of Hopedale Louisiana.  

Guided Fly fishing trips for Red Fish in Louisiana are all about the hunt and good casting. Louisiana Red Fish love to eat and they seem to have an attitude when doing so. They are favored to be one of the easier saltwater fish to catch on a fly rod, only because they offer the angler multiple shots if needed. Make no mistake, the fly still needs to be in the zone for the magic to happen. Red Fish can be caught as far as you can cast to right up next to the boat. What you can expect from these great guides is patience and encouragement. 

This is a one day guided trip for four (4) anglers.  With a one night stay at the Dogwood Lodge  in two suites.

Two open decks provide space to relax and absorb the magnificent surroundings.On location in southeast Louisiana, offering a blend of first class accommodations, memorable cuisine of southern cooking and true hospitality that makes guests feel like VIPs while remembering the reason you’re here is for the exceptional fishing.  The Dogwood is a historical vessel that was originally built for the US Coast Guard as a buoy tender on the upper Mississippi River. It was later purchased by a cruise company and converted into a multiday vessel for river cruises.

Dogwood Lodge is located past the End of the World marina also known as the Hopedale Marina in Hopedale, Louisiana in the Biloxi Marsh. Hopedale is located an easy 45 minute drive southeast of New Orleans, and is on the edge of the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet.  This area also offers exceptional fly fishing opportunities for trophy redfish due to the clarity of the water and endless wild marshes.

The Lodge features a lounge area known as the Mississippi Room on the second deck with comfortable seating and wide screen TV to reminisce about the day’s adventures. Offering a complimentary bar as well as outdoor seating to enjoy your morning coffee or evening libation.   The Lodge offers 6 private rooms with 2 twin beds per room and each room has a private bath. The rooms are named after the rivers the boat has traversed throughout her past: Red, White, Arkansas, Atchafalaya, Ouachita and Kanawha.

On fishing day, transportation to and from the marina is not provided.  Lunch and beverages are included as well as all fishing gear if needed.  Good for Oct-Dec 2022.  Extra fishing days and Dogwood nights can be added based on availability at time of booking.
