BIANCA MARAIS teaches creative writing through the podcast, Shit No One Tells You About Writing, and at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies where she was named the winner of the Excellence in Teaching Award for Creative Writing in 2021. In her country of birth, South Africa, she runs the Eunice Ngogodo Own Voices Initiative to encourage and empower women of colour to tell their own stories.
