Item Description

This lot is for four VIP passes to the Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles.

The Broad is a contemporary art museum founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. The museum is designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler and offers free general admission. The museum is home to the 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide, and has launched an active program of rotating temporary exhibitions and innovative audience engagement. The 120,000-square-foot, $140-million building features two floors of gallery space and is the headquarters of The Broad Art Foundation’s worldwide lending library, which has actively loaned collection works to museums around the world since 1984. Since opening in September 2015, The Broad has welcomed more than 1.2 million visitors.

Generously donated by The Broad Museum. Thank you!

Item Special Note

General admission to the Broad is free, but this pass allows the winning bidder and three friends to bypass the ticketing and entrance line. This pass does not include access to any paid exhibitions.

Passes expire 11/07/2022

The Broad Collection
On view in the third floor galleries is a robust and changing selection of works from the Broad collection. The installation includes works by major artists who came to prominence in the 1950s, including Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and Cy Twombly. The Pop art of the 1960s—an area of great depth in the collection—is represented through works by Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha and Andy Warhol, among others. Moving into the 1980s, the installation presents a rich concentration of works by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Barbara Kruger and Jeff Koons.

Parking is not included.

Passes will be emailed to the winning bidder or can be picked up at La Ballona Elementary.
