Residents of a slum community such as Kibera are vulnerable to massive increases in food prices due to climate change that impacts rural farmers such as drought, floods, insect infestations, higher transportation costs. Being able to grow their own food gives them a measure of food security and increases their income through sales.
Your $35 gift will provide a woman with the basics for growing food: soil, seeds, training, plant food, containers, and tools.
