The 45-acre Garden in the Woods contains New England's largest collection of native plants in a cultivated garden setting, a living museum featuring more than 1,000 species of native plants, including many which are rare or endangered. Come and explore our garden with glacier-made ridges, steep-sided valleys, a pond, bog, and meandering stream. There is also a Garden Shop that offers the largest selection of native plants in New England, as well as gardening books, tools, eco-friendly gifts, and a great selection of items for children.
The mission of Native Plant Trust is to conserve and promote the region's native plants to ensure healthy, biologically diverse landscapes. Founded in 1900, the Native Plant Trust, formerly known as the New England Wild Flower Society, is the nation's first plant conservation organization and a recognized leader in native plant conservation, horticulture, and education.
Garden in the Woods is open 10am through 5pm daily mid-April through October 15.
