Item Description
This porcelain Tea Set consists of a serving tray, teapot, and 6 tea cups. Each piece in the set features the same stunning dragon -- a symbol of power, strength, and good luck in Chinese culture. The dragon is a red and yellow serpentine creature having a large head with a large mouth and deer-like antlers, 4 legs, and claws like a hawk. The dragon on each piece in the Tea Set appears to be floating through white clouds on a yellow background.
The largest dragon wraps around the 12-inch by 17-inch serving tray and rises menacingly 4 inches out of the tray's surface. The footed teapot has the same dragon on it, with the dragon's head serving as the spout and its tail forming the handle. The teapot measures about 6.5 inches from spout to handle, 3.5 inches in inside diameter, and 5.5 inches in height. There are 6 footed cups, each about 2.25 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The same dragon appears on the side of each cup, with its tail forming the cup's handle. All of the pieces in the set are generously decorated with gold.
This authentic Chinese Tea Set was obtained from a business associate in Taiwan.
