This auction item is a stunning framed cityscape scene by A Vasquez Parra.

Antonio Vasquez Parra (1927 - 1984) was active/lived in Mexico. Antonio Parra is known for Mexican market scene genre and figure oil painting.

Little is known about this talented Artist Antonio Vazquez Parra other than that he was born in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico in 1900 and is best known for depicting the everyday lives of the natives and their struggle to overcome poverty, discrimination and lack of opportunities.

An example of his work is his oil painting Ozumba Mex, which depicts a Native woman with a child on her back and another one on the side. Through his art, Vasquez Parra is fighting for Social Justice, as did many of the Great Mexican Masters and Muralist of Mexico.
