Item Description

Stow Away Preserves is a Boxborough-based hobby business. Heather and Cord create jams and jellies using hyperlocal fruit, harvested within a few miles of their home -- often from their own yard. It is a passion project that connects them with the community and with their ancestral agricultural roots.

This plastic-free Gift Basket includes an 8-ounce jar of each of these delicious flavors:

1.   Rasperine Jam -- Rasperine Jam combines nectarines and white peaches with  home-grown raspberries. The flavor is "raspberry forward", yet less seedy than a straight raspberry jam. This combination of berries and stone fruit is a real winner! It goes equally well on a morning bagel, in a PB&J, or on a "grazing platter board" with cheese and crackers.

2.   Cinnamon Crabapple Jelly -- This is their son's favorite, made with fruit from their own heritage, 100-year-old trees. It is perfect for toast, and also makes a mean cool-weather cocktail. When Heather was a kid, the "comfort food" her mom would make most often was cinnamon sugar toast. So Heather was not surprised when her 3-year-old son decided it was definitely his favorite. The crabapples come from their own orchard, and the cinnamon gives it that little extra kick that tastes like a warm hug from mom. Heather and Cord are hoping that it gives you a hug, too!
