Item Description
Bid for Bot 2 an abstract acrylic painting on board from artist, June Farnham.
Artist Statement:
June Farnham’s abstract acrylic paintings are inspired by her daily outings in nature. Transparency, massing, color, soft and hard edges, curving elements combine eastern and western influences of artists such as Helen Frankenthaler and Zao Wou-ki.
Her contemporary landscape paintings reflect the moods, colors and forms of nature at locations in Westchester County, New York such as Rockefeller State Park and Teatown Lake Reservation. Currently she uses her own photographs to capture natural landscape images during walks. Using these photographs as a basis to trigger her artwork, she modifies the color schemes and shapes compositions that are part reality and partly reflect her own artistic view with abstraction playing an ever larger role.
